A few of the biggest recent games, such as Batman: Arkham Shadow and Marvel's Deadpool VR, don't run on Quest 2 at all, which makes them the clearest reason to own one of the newer headsets.

How we chose and what we checked
We chose these games by type from the Meta Horizon Store and Meta's own monthly "What to play" posts, and checked each store page on 16 October 2026 for the headsets it supports, its player modes and its release date. We haven't played every game here for this guide, and we don't list store prices, which vary by country and change with sales; the store shows the price for your account. We left out Rec Room: its store page no longer offers a download, and its website says it's "under construction". Read how we research.

Supernatural is changing. Meta says the current version is “winding down on December 3, 2026”. Its founders and coaches now run it as a separate company, Supernatural Health, which plans a new version this fall for the US and Canada; the store lists it as “Coming this fall”. If you’re choosing a fitness app today, FitXR or BODYCOMBAT is the safer buy.

For most players, Batman: Arkham Shadow: a full Batman story made only for Quest 3 and 3S. Asgard's Wrath 2 is the biggest adventure, and Beat Saber is the best game to show someone VR for the first time.
What are the best free Quest 3 games?
Gorilla Tag, POPULATION: ONE, Animal Company and VRChat are free on the Meta Horizon Store. All four are online multiplayer games.
Do Quest 3 games work on Quest 3S?

Do Quest 2 games work on Quest 3?
